The Tasmanian Federation Index
The Tasmanian Federation Index is an index of all birth records for the period 1900-1919, and death and marriage records for the period 1900-1930.
A copy of the Tasmania Federation Index is available for use by visiting Libraries Tasmania (external link). The CD-ROM is also available for viewing at major Reference Libraries throughout Australia.
The Tasmanian Pioneers Index
The Tasmanian Pioneers Index is an index of all birth, death and marriage records for the period 1803 - 1899.

War records
During both World Wars, legislative provision was made for the registration, upon request, of the death of persons dying outside of the State of Tasmania whilst engaged on war service.
The deaths of approximately 4000 service personnel were registered under this provision.
