You must keep your personal and employment details up to date. You are legally required to let us know within 10 working days if any of the following details have changed:
- name (see details below)
- address
- employment or volunteer organisation
- criminal history (see details below).

Change your name
To change the name listed against your RWVP, you will need to provide evidence of your new name.
To provide evidence of your new name, visit a Service Tasmania service centre with a valid proof of identity document and your registration card.
If you live interstate or overseas and need to update your name, please contact us. We will provide you with a list of information that we will need as evidence to process your name change.
If you want to change to the gender listed on your registration, please email us.
Notify us of new criminal charges, convictions or orders
If your criminal history has changed since you first registered, you must notify us in writing within 10 working days of being charged, convicted of, or found guilty of a relevant offence.
You will also need to let us know of any changes to your history of:
- overseas offences
- family violence orders
- restraint orders or apprehended violence orders
- child protection orders that you have been involved in.
