Please allow up to 6 weeks to receive your application results.
Some of the factors that affect how long it takes to process an application for RWVP include:
- you have provided incomplete or inaccurate information in your application
- you have a common name, or a name that matches with potential persons of interest
- we are conducting background checks (such as collecting and processing information)
- we are doing a risk assessment
- we have asked for information from others (such as Tasmania Police).
We may also need to ask you to provide additional information.
So depending on how much information we need to assess, it may take it may take longer than 6 weeks.
Once your application is approved, your registration is valid for 5 years.
