Fines collection and enforcement is the responsibility of the Monetary Penalties Enforcement Service (MPES). MPES does not issue infringement notices or fines, it collects them on behalf of State and Local Government agencies and Tasmanian courts.
If you are given a fine, infringement notice or required to pay a court cost, this section will tell you how to pay the fine (including instalment arrangements) and what will happen if you don’t pay the fine by the due date.
