Worried about a child's safety

Where there is an immediate concern for the safety of a child or young person, call 000 (Triple Zero). If you suspect a child or young person has been, or is at risk of being abused or neglected, contact the Strong Families, Safe Kids Advice and Referral Line on 1800 000 123. For non-emergencies or to report a crime, contact Tasmania Police on 131 444.

Reporting Child Safety Concerns in Justice

The Reportable Conduct Scheme introduces mandatory requirements to report concerns about conduct related to child abuse involving an employee to the Independent Regulator.

The Scheme provides support to those who experienced institutional child sexual abuse prior to 1 July 2018.

Safe at Home

Safe at Home involves a range of services working together to improve the safety and security of adult and children victims of family violence; and to ensure that offenders are held accountable.

Safe at Home aims to reduce the incidence and severity of family violence, and reduce the negative impacts of the criminal justice system on adult and child victims.
