- If you wish to bring a child to visit a prisoner/remandee, but you are not the child’s parent or legal guardian, you must receive approval from the Visitor Reception Centre before a visit will be permitted.
- You (the applicant) must be an approved visitor.
- You cannot bring a child to visit a prisoner/remandee if there is a Court or Police Order preventing contact between the child and the prisoner/remandee.
- You cannot bring a child to visit a prisoner/remandee without the parent or legal guardian’s written consent (consent cannot be given by the prisoner/remandee).
- You and the parent/legal guardian of the child must both provide a copy of your current photo identification.
- You must also provide a copy of the child’s: Current Medicare card or Healthcare card, listing the child’s name and the parent’s/legal guardian’s name or a letter from a government organisation such as Child & Family Services. Please note that this form cannot be processed until these documents are received.
Please note: only approved visitors may post or drop in prisoner property. A Request for Property form must be completed by the prisoner and approved prior to property being delivered.
