Release of the Commission of Inquiry Final Report


The Final Report of the Commission of Inquiry into the Tasmanian Government’s Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in Institutional Settings was tabled in Parliament this morning.

This marks the public release of the Commission’s Report, which is now available on the Commission of Inquiry Website.
The Tasmanian Government has indicated that they will accept all of the Commission's recommendations in the Report.

A number of actions are already underway in response to the Commission of Inquiry hearings, more details on this work can be found on the Keeping Children Safe website.

Now that the Report has been released the Government will review the recommendations, and a detailed plan about how they will be implemented will be announced in December 2023.
