Justice Support Services

Justice Support Services (JSS) brings together key parts of the Department of Justice. JSS aims to protect and promote the rights of vulnerable Tasmanians and help those who are:

  • victims of crime
  • experiencing family violence
  • victim-survivors of child sexual abuse
  • vulnerable due to age, decision-making ability or communication needs.

By bringing these services together, JSS aims to improve how work is done to benefit people who access or rely on these services. People can access services in the same way as before. JSS includes:

  • Victims Support Services
  • Safe at Home
  • National Redress Scheme
  • Witness Intermediary Scheme
  • Office of the Public Guardian
  • Registration to Work with Vulnerable People

We may publish more information about the new structure over time.

We are committed to continuously improving. We rely on your feedback and other information to help us do this. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
