Witness Intermediary Scheme Pilot 12-month evaluation report released

Published: 06-06-2023

An evaluation of the Witness Intermediary Scheme Pilot (WISP) has revealed a high level of support for the pilot program among evaluation participants, and found it makes a positive contribution to the criminal justice process in Tasmania.

The WISP is a Tasmanian Government initiative that aims to ensure that children and vulnerable witnesses are supported to effectively participate in the criminal justice system.

An evaluation of the first 12 months of the WISP was undertaken by Sprout Labs and independent researcher, Dr Miriam Vandenberg.
