Member and deputy member of the Parole Board

The Government of Tasmania is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified persons for appointment as a member and deputy member of the Parole Board pursuant to the Corrections Act 1997.  It is intended to appoint both persons for a term of up to 3 years.

Applications for the position are invited from persons who:

  • have tertiary qualifications relevant to the operation of the Board; or
  • are experienced in matters associated with sociology, criminology, penology or medicine; or
  • possess any other knowledge or experience appropriate to the functions of the Parole Board; or
  • have experience in sitting on other boards and tribunals.

Parole Board hearings are held fortnightly in Hobart.
