The Tasmanian Government is committed to providing opportunities for community involvement in the development and ongoing review of Government policy and we are seeking your input on the review and update to the Director’s Determination – Categories of Plumbing Work and the Director’s Determination - Accreditation of On-site Domestic Wastewater Treatment Units.

The Director’s Determination – Categories of Plumbing Work is the document that specifies the types of plumbing work that are categorised as either Low Risk Plumbing Work, Notifiable Plumbing Work or Permit Plumbing Work, and also specifies who may perform those types of work. This Determination was first published in 2016, with the most recent revision having occurred in 2018.

The Director’s Determination - Accreditation of On-site Domestic Wastewater Treatment Units is the document that specifies the matters considered when assessing an application for the accreditation of on-site domestic wastewater treatment units. This Determination was first published in 2016, and has not been reviewed since that time.

Consumer, Building and Occupational Services (CBOS) have developed the following stakeholder consultation drafts incorporating proposed changes to these important regulatory documents and are now seeking input from stakeholders and the public.
