Parole Board decisions

Victims Support Services will liaise with the victim to ensure they are advised as soon as possible of the outcome of the Parole Board hearing. 

Victims Support Services will advise the victims of outcomes initially by telephone and then follow up in writing.  We will also follow through with the victim any requests for additional information.

If the Parole Board grants an application for parole, it will prepare a 'Reasons for Decision' document, which provides a detailed account of the Board's decision to grant parole.

All 'Reasons for Decisions' are published on the Parole Board's website around the prisoner's date of release on parole.
