Child Witness Support Service
A free Service for child victims of family violence through the Safe at Home program
A decision was made in 2007 to combine the Child Witness Service with the adult Court Support and Liaison Service, providing one service to work with both adult and child victims of family violence. In practice we found when dealing with victims of family violence, members of the family preferred to deal with one service.
The Court Support and Liaison Service now services both adult and child victims. One worker in each region is trained specifically in dealing with children and children's issues.
Families can be seen by multiple workers when requested or circumstances require.
