Chairperson – Resource Management and Planning Appeal Tribunal

The Government of Tasmania is seeking expressions of interest from experienced legal practitioners who wish to be considered for appointment as Chairperson of RMPAT.  The position will be based in Hobart but intrastate travel will be required.  The position is available, with an Acting Chairperson currently appointed.

To be eligible for appointment a candidate must be an Australian lawyer within the meaning of the Legal Profession Act 2007 of not less than 5 years' standing as an Australian legal practitioner.

Appointment is by the Governor-in-Council for a period of 5 years. The Chairperson receives remuneration of $301,072 per year.
