New locker rooms, including showers and toilets, will be provided for all staff in a redeveloped section at the front of the existing mens prison.
Staff-only parking areas have been created. These are separate from new visitor parking that is to be constructed.
The new mens prison will include a dedicated staff indoor/outdoor dining area, with adjacent toilets and washrooms, including a shower.
There is an officer station in each of the maximum-security units and a movement control and officer station in the medium-security part of the campus.
The womens prison also includes staff dining, staffroom, office and movement control facilities.
A new staff gym building has been built on the Risdon site and the existing staff clubhouse will continue to operate.
