In the matter of the Corrections Act 1997
and
In the matter of an Application for Parole by Rodney Gene Crosswell
13 December 2005
Mr Crosswell, you were convicted originally on the 10 September 2003 with assaulting police, the 24 September 2003 aggravated burglary, the 2nd March 2003 with burglary and stealing and you received a total of two years and four months imprisonment.
We granted you parole on the 15th March 2005 and then revoked your parole on the 24 June 2005 as a result of some offences that you committed whilst on parole and your non-cooperation with parole authorities.
We have considered whether or not we should grant you parole again. We have considered all the factors set out in the Corrections Act and in particular we have considered the pre-parole report of the 2 December 2005.
We note that you are to live with your mother. We also note that your earliest release date is the 28 March 2006 and that you can walk out of prison on that date without any restrictions on you at all.
Having considered everything we are going to grant you parole as from the 3 January 2005.
Read your conditions very carefully. We also note that you are subject to a suspended sentence so that if you commit any offences you’ll not only have to deal with us but you are also have to deal with the court.
We are giving you another chance despite some reservations. If you commit any other offences you will be back here before us and we will not be as generous next time.
If you get into any trouble or if you have any problems at all your first port of call is the parole officer.
