Before you start your application

Eligibility

You can only add a new class or occupation if you are a licensed

  • Plumber
  • Electrician
  • Gas-fitter
  • Auto gas-fitter

Checklist

  1. Read the information on this licence page so you know what to do and what documents to provide
  2. Scan and save (computer or storage device like a USB) a digital copy of your training and obtain your Statement of Results from a Registered Training Organisation for class of work selected
  3. For plumbing (restricted electrical work licence)
    1. Scan and save (computer or storage device like a USB) a digital copy of your Statement of Results from a Registered Training Organisation for disconnect/reconnect electrical training relating to the Restricted Electrical Work class(es) applied for
    2. Scan and save (computer or storage device like a USB) a digital copy of your employer outlining the reasons why a Restricted Electrical Work licence is required
  4. For plumbing (gas-fitting licence)
    1. Scan and save (computer or storage device like a USB) a digital copy of your Statement of Results or Statement of Attainment from a Registered Training Organisation for the relevant gas-fitting modules completed
  5. Have a credit card ready to pay for your licence fee online or at any Service Tasmania shop
