Applying for a licence

Complete the form and follow all instructions.

Additional information to supply with application form:

  • evidence you have successfully completed the prescribed qualifications
  • evidence of Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • required proof of identity
  • bankruptcy report dated within the last 30 days
  • original National Police Record dated within the last 30 days
  • correspondence from the Property Agents Board certifying you are not the holder of a licence under the Property Agents and Land Transactions Act 2005

Renewing a licence

A renewal letter and re-application form will be sent to the last known address, 6-8 weeks prior to your licence expiring. You should complete the form and return it along with any relevant documentation by the required date.

Updating details

The Director must be notified within 14 days of any changes to your name, address or business name. Complete the form below and lodge. There is no fee to amend your registered details.

Mutual recognition

Individual conveyancing licence holders can apply for mutual recognition of a licence, which has been issued in another Australian State or Territory, to undertake conveyancing work in Tasmania. Corporations are not eligible for mutual recognition.
