The Office of Legislation Development and Review:
- provides policy advice and research services to the Attorney-General and the Government to assist in formulating new policies and developing new legislation
- assists the Attorney-General in discharging parliamentary, legal and ministerial duties
- reviews laws to ensure they are relevant to contemporary needs
- assists other agencies on legislative issues
- advises the Attorney-General on Commonwealth/State ministerial meetings
