Corrective Services
The Tasmanian Government collects data on correctional services and makes it available to various Commonwealth bodies in preparation for national reports on government services; these being the Report on Government Services by the Productivity Commission, and a report on corrective services collated by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Below are links to two PDF documents presenting quarterly and annual statistics on prison populations, assault rates, uptake of education and training in prison, and statistics on community corrections.
The quarterly data is for the period Sept 06 to June 07, while the annual data is for the period 2002-3 to 2005-06.
