As part of the development of Breaking the Cycle: A Strategic Plan for Tasmanian Corrections 2011-2020, a series of consultations was held with key stakeholders in late 2009. Based on these consultations, a Discussion Paper was developed, and was launched by the Minister for Corrections on 28 January 2010.
The Discussion Paper was designed to give Tasmanians the opportunity to have a say in the development of the Breaking the Cycle Plan. It identifies key priority areas to be addressed in the Plan, explores a range of strategies and actions suggested by stakeholders, and asks questions about the direction of the corrections system.
