Group Counselling in the CMD program uses the SAINTOC (Substance Abuse Is Not The Only Choice) program. This program consists of a minimum of 22 sessions. Each session is for two hours and attendance is required twice per week.
Residential Rehabilitation is for people who require extra support to stop their drug use. It is conducted in a staffed residential facility that provides a range of treatment interventions. Residential rehabilitation services are provided from a community-based setting, usually for a 3 month period.
The Magistrate may require you to undergo a number of drug tests throughout the period of your treatment that involve the testing of a urine sample for any traces of illicit substances. Urinalysis in the CMD program is conducted with reference to the Australian Standards.
