What is a Deed of Relationship?

A Deed of Relationship is a document which is signed by the parties and then registered with the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages.  Once registered a certificate of registration can be issued which is evidence of a personal relationship (significant or caring).  Consequently the relationship will be legally recognised without having to satisfy any other criteria to prove its existence.
